Shangri-La Hotel Bangkok

Grand is the best word to describe it! We were so happy to have chosen a River view room. Huge bow window with magical views both day and night. Also, the fitness center was the best hotel fitness center I?ve ever seen! Take advantage of all they offer!

The hotel we know we¿ll is right on the river ..very luxurious and friendly staff. Great dining on lower level especially buffet !

Expensive room ..in room dining OK have had better ! At 10,500 per night did not offer us room upgrade or free breakfast I thought stingy for Circle club member !

Krungthep Building is at a near perfect situation on the Chao Phraya River. Public transport by train or boat around the corner. Good restaurants nearby.Spectacular view from the Krungthep room balconies. Choose high floor and room numbers above 55 (e.g 1465). Get a bottle of wine from the nearby store (Tops Silom). Sit on the balcony and watch the tugboats pull trains of barges upriver. All kinds of ferries and passenger boats abound. Come evening the spectacle of lit up cruise boats with loud music and tourists frenetically dancing. What a show !Truly outstanding breakfast

Rooms with low numbers are near the noisy traffic congested bridge.

THE LANGUAGE BARIER, the staff so often say words in english that i need to repeat many time to understand sometimes i dont, there pronenciation is not english either in the resurants or reception.

a bit of old look and damaged parts in the bathroom but overall quality was very good. oh and pricing at the pool bar is actually quite high so perhaps rearrange it for broader use for customers

Great breakfast buffet. Very helpful staff. Two pools. Amazing river views. River boat ferry across to IconSiam and access to rapid transport a few minutes away by foot. It was a great choice for me.

Rooms in older wing of hotel are showing their age a bit but considering the significantly lower price of these rooms and all the hotel amenities, I was still very happy with my experience.

Location. Sights over the river are pleasant and the swimming pools and restaurant decks provide a good visual experience

The Krungthep wing, while offering balconies, is located over the Takin bridge, thus totally affected by the traffic constant noise. Room decor and hallways need refreshing and house cleaning services only appeared late in the afternoon..

Loved the location and shuttle to Iconsiam. But more times and later service into the PM would be great!

The shuttle to Iconsiam didn't run in the evening.

Great service, even the housekeeper found out it was my birthday and she brought me a cake!
